What will happen if.......

I would like to know what will happen when you accidentally clicked the'YES'option to copy information into your floppy disk but realised that you did not insert the disk into the drive?Will this cause damage to the hard disk and how do I recover such situation?Thank you for your reply.

Eric, welcome to the forum. I am not sure If i got your question right! however, I can tell you that each time you try to use the floppy drive with no floppy in it all you get is a bad noise and an error message, but based on my experience you don`t damage any of your drives (just don`t insist to write data on an empty floppy driver).

if you are talking about the little box that says " retry/ cancel" drive is inaccessable... then no, it won't/had not hurt anything.
