Using a laptop as a Wireless Hub for my Playstation 2

I've tried everything
I've created a network bridge with my internet connection and the LAN connection.
Enabled the neccesary adapters.
Why when I test my connection on the PS2 it just times out?
Im using a CAT5 ethernet cable.
I followed this tutorial here.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Cat 5 cable plugged into the PC on one end and PS2 on the other? Does the Local Area Conenction on the laptop show connected when the cables are are plugged in?

Did you use a crossover cable?

So i need a cable called a crossover? I just have a CAT5 ethernet one. Will it say on the package if its a crossover?

If it is not a crossover there should be no connection showing up in Local Area Connection when the devices are plugged in. If you are connecting two like devices together you need a crossover cable.
