Internet speed or lack of.

Can someone help me please...

I am having trouble with internet speed.
Myself, the missus, and my daughter are all on the internet via our own pc's. However, I find that in the evening, my wifes and my own pc's, slow down so much that sometimes it doesnt seem to be worth staying online.
As an experiment I disconnected each pc to see what would happen and the result was that when I disconnected my daughters pc the other 2 pc's worked great. So it seems that I have a problem with my daughters pc taking up most of the bandwidth juice.(or words to that effect).

Does anyone know what I can do?

How are you sharing the Internet connection? Router?
I would suspect malware on the daughter's PC is flooding the connection.
I would suggest posting a HJT log from the daughter's PC and post it in Applications & Security forum.

Thanks for your reply. Thanks for the link you gave me I will look at it properly later after work.
As for the internet connection....Sorry....should have mentioned this in the previous post.

We are all connected via Netgear wireless router. I disengaged the router and connected my pc directly to the modem. No problems at all. My pc was working as it should......connected the router.....slow again.

Anyway, like said, I'm off to work now so will look at this later.
