Looking to build my first PC from the ground up... Put together a list from newegg but not sure if it will work... also may be replacing my old case... Not worried about periferials currently. willing to spend around 800 on it... Any input would be super
Let me know and go easy on me its been awhile since I had to keep up on the technospeak

Just a quick question before i put my 2 cents in....
what are you planning on doing with this PC?
-gaming?
-office?
-basic home/internet use?
-media?
and would you mind going with Intel?

I would like it to be a fairly middle of the road machine... looking to use it as an occasional gaming machine but it doesn't need to 200fps on any of the newest games or anything ridiculous... Also would need it to do some light graphic design work.
I don't have a brand preference, just want some input before I try to do this so I will know that when I finally get it all put together it will be worth my time and money
All input is welcome:)
PS Sorry lost the 2x on the ram in the copy/paste... will have at least 2 gb of ram

hmmm...
8800 GT 512 or Radeon HD 3870..... for a GPU
Dual Core (Quad if cheap enough) INTEL
[AMD CPUs are cheap, but are 2 or more years old in design, or are glitchie]
2GIG RAM preferibly, Windows XP, DVD-RW drive - Hard drive size is up to personal preference.

to shave some cost:
ANY FULL ATX case will do
might be able to find one for 20.00- will work just fine!
as for PSU- thermaltake is good, not to sure on others.... (not my department)
the RAM is a bit expensive... Patriot is good....
other than that... it is a good build...
