Usually if you get no reply after a day or so it's because none of the good folks here have a definitive answer to your question.
I don't really have a specific answer either, but if you take a look at the RAID (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/perf/raid/index.htm) chapter if the PC Guide you might find some very good onfo. The link is to the first page of the chapter rather than the Configuration section, so you can find good info concerning RAID in general as well, and you'll probably have a better idea what RAID is about, and be able to make an informed decisioon as to whether a RAID configuration is appropriate for your purposes at all.
Top forum? Why certainly! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Basically the way I see it you need to read the manual for the card for any specifics, but you enter the controllers setup routine, add the disks, reboot to a DOS floppy, fdisk the drives (which should be seen as one drive, depending upon the configuration you've setup), then reboot and format...
And here (http://www.kickassgear.com/Raid_array.htm).

RAID 0 is not as good an idea as it might seem to be.
It increases latency time and can actually slow your system down.
RAID 0 is best suited to applications which deal with reading, writing, copying of huge files. The data read/written by each I/O order must be very high to make RAID more efficient that just having two drives. For ordinary computer usage, RAID 0 is not a good idea.
Also, if anything goes wrong you can be in deep doo-doo. If one drive fails, the other is not usable either, and recovery of any data is a nightmare. If your motherboard has a problem, I do not think it is easy to recover your data by putting your drives on an other system or merely by replacing the motherboard. I think you can recover, but it is not as easy as with a non-RAID system.
I run a system with three hard drives and a motherboard which supports RAID 0. I use one drive to back up the other two, and would not even consider using RAID.
