These are my temperatures after 1 hour of crysis, playing all specs on high/very high. My CPU temperatures are odd, can anyone explain this?

i cannot see the pic?

ooo you got a new system :D

you like it?

Oh, sorry, here are my temps:

Motherboard: 32
CPU: 21
CPU Core#1/Core#1 : 32
CPU Core#1/Core#1 : 36
GPU: 59
GPU Memory: 59
GPU Ambient: 57
5000AAKS : 29
740GD : 26

So whats the deal my my processor temps? I am using Everest Ultimate Edition and 64-bit VISTA!

Hell ya I like it!! It is awesome for as cheap as it was!

i cannot see one things wrong with those temps, if anything they are very good especailly for an OC'ed CPU

are you having problems with it?

My question is this; why the differences (10C) in processor readings.

CPU: 21
CPU Core#1/Core#1 : 32
CPU Core#1/Core#1 : 36

"CPU" = 21, but each core is 11 degrees or 15 degrees higher than that!

i really dont have a clue... when i used speed fan to monitor my temps i got different core temps and wrong ones, but now i use the software that came with it and it gives one accurate reading

have a look

does your MOBO come with software that tells you your temps or have you checked your BIOS?

Yes, in my BIOS it is always around 20C (gotta love Zalman) but I have only checked while idle for the most part.

Speedfan gave me rediculous temps...i.e. thousands of degrees.

(gotta love Zalman)

ooo i love mine to :D

im not sure what your exact problem is. I reckon you should try some other monitoring software and see what temps come out reasonable, but the temps from everest (saying they are in game) are very good

Thats good advice; I'll do that.

Thanks George.

IF (big if), the monitoring software is reporting accurately read temps, then the difference is most likely to be from sensor placement. The diode is most likely on the chip with the CPU core, but if it isn't exactly placed in relation to each core, then it could be picking up 'spill over' heat from the other core...or some such other oddity like that.

Or, it could be that really one core is running slightly 'warmer' than the other...

Since the difference isn't all that great...don't worry about it. Your average temp, for both cores, is 34 C...which is not too bad.

Well I wasn't worried about the temp differences between the two cores; I was curious about the difference between:

CPU = 21C

and the two cores which are a dozen degrees Centigrade higher.

But I see your point, and it very well could still be placement of the temperature "readers".
