I have internet access with Comcast. i am currently using a netgear router which is what I used when I first got the service. (i just pluged it in and off I went) I want to change over to my d-link 4100 gaming router. I have cleared out my old internet service from Germany and when to the setup menu in the dlink router, it asks me for a mac address. What mac address do I use? The one from the Netgear router? I have tried cloneing from each of the computers (2) that I am using and cant get the d-link router to connect to the internet.

Router worked fine the last 2.5 year with the german dsl I had.

Not sure I am doing the setup correctly.

Try using the MAC address from the old router (netgear). After that you should only need to copy the old ISP settings from the Netgear to the Dlink.

Hope this helps:)
