My router wont keep my selected ports open

I have an old USB modem which works perfect with utorrent and it shows that the ports are open, however Ive bought a new wifi router from my ISP and the torrents are showing NAT error. Ive gone into utorrent and opened up ports as suggested by them and then ive gone into my router configurations(192.1.1) and opened the relative ports up, as directed by Portforwarding.com but they are still showing NAT error.

Everything i have to keep swapping modems because i know my old usb modem is allowing these connections fine.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure you are forwarding to the correct IP address for your computer. Check it by running ipconfig /all from a command prompt.

Also, does your router have a save config option? Are you actually making sure it is saved/written to NVRAM before exiting the setup screen?
