Or you could help support this forum and purchase a CD of the PC Guide ! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

For installing one, check the Topic Index link, at left on the main page.. It's a detailed index of everything on the site, or use the search link. I usually go for the topic index, because I normally know what I'm after, and how to find it. Takes a bit of browsing to get accustomed to the layout, but once you do you can go right to anyhting you want. It's set up just like the chapter listing in a book.

Troubleshooting, I don't have any good links, CD ROM drives aren't that difficult to troubleshoot, repair...not much repair either, except for the occasional cleaning of drive capstans.

Not many things can go wrong with CD ROM drives, first thing to do is usually remove (in Safe Mode) and reinstall, check jumpers and cables, then clean the capstans. If none of those work, replace it...Oh, and make sure it's set to autodetect in BIOS. That's about it...

Hi jbumi,
At the bottom of this page is a link to the PC Guide main page. There you will find links to purchase the CD.
Good luck
