this are my com's specs:

intel core 2 duo
E6750 @ 2.66ghz
2.67ghz, 3.25 gb of ram

ok. when i am using my com, half way thru a blue screen will appear and then my machine will just restart by itself. after it restarted, an error window (the send or don't send error report to microsoft) pops up and said that my com has just has a serious error. i sent the error report to microsoft a few times but that dint help to solve the problems.

i did a scan check my com for error but that dint help either. i also did a virus scan and all seems to be fine. but the blue screen will still appear every now and then and my com will restart. the same error message will still appear.

there are alot of numbers and words on the blue screen but I cant read them fast enough because it only flashes for like a split second.

anyone knows whats wrong?

my understanding is the first couple of lines are what the people here need to diagnose it. First off, what operating system do you run? Second, did this recently start after installing a program?

There are ways of stopping the computer from restarting when the blue screen appears. The method I know of is using a Windows tweaking program (I use Vista Manager (http://www.yamicsoft.com/)). I'm sure there is a more direct way, but I'm not sure how. Maybe someone here knows? Once you do that, you can write down the error message and someone here can help you out.

go to system properties, advanced tab, and select "startup and recovery" and uncheck the "automatically restart".

i am using windows xp SP2.
sorry for leaving that out.

ok. i unclicked the auto restart checkbox. now i need to wait for the blue screen to appear again.

actually the blue screen started to appear ever since i bought my computer last december. it dint seem to have anything to do with the programs which i have installed.

hmmm... could indicate component failure.
Update ALL DRIVERS.

and see if the crash happens again.

if it does, give use the error.
is is usually a stop code" hex number (More hex numbers)"
we only need the first hex number, and is it set to write a .dmp file?

I had a similar problem with a laptop, where a logitech web-cam driver was causing the blue screen of death. You could check services, and make sure only the essential services are running. (you can check services that you are onsure of by using google.)

OK. My computer finally decided to restart prematurely again haha.

Here are the details I got off that blue screen.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Info:

***STOP:0x0000000A (0x9DF6AE40, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X8052197C)

There are some other information but I don't think they are needed here.

Oh and when it restarted, an error message appears and it said something about NMIndexStoreSvr.exe. What is this program?

Thanks.

That would be part of Nero. If you do a quick search for the program name using google, you can pull up data for it. Something tells me that it is not part of your problem. You can try un-installing Nero for a short while to see if the problem stops. (I really doubt that is the problem though)

Troubleshooting a Stop 0x0000000A error in Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314063).

1. Did this problem start just recently?

2. Had Windows been installed for some time when the problem began?

2. Was it OK before that time?

3. Was there any change made to hardware just before the problem appeared?

4. Do you have any image backups of the Windows partition made before the problem appeared?

5. Any restore points made?

1. The problem has existed ever since I first bought my computer. It was around December last year.

2. Actually, I think the blue screen started appearing like 1-2 days after I first bought my computer. I went to some shop to build my com so the shopkeeper installed everything for me. Windows, nero etc etc.

3. Not applicable.

4. Not applicable.

5. Not any that I know of.

Thanks.

1. "around December last year...I went to some shop to build my com so the shopkeeper installed everything for me. Windows, nero etc etc...I think the blue screen started appearing like 1-2 days after"
(a) So the shopkeeper put together the hardware, then installed all the software, then you took it home and 2 days later you got the first blue screen error?

(b) You didn't make any hardware changes during that 2-day period?

(c) Did you change any drivers during those 2 days?

(d) Do you think it came out of the shop with this problem, but it took 2 days to show itself?
If so, you should get the shopkeeper to fix it.
