Website Blocking

Sir,
I would so much appreciate it if I could be put through on how to block some website from my system.
Though i have tried through Parental Control! but i didn't really like the way it works.

I use OS xp on my system
I also have IE and Firefox as my browsers.

Who are you trying to block. An adult, a child, etc....

For IE you can just add them to the restricted sites zone from Tools>InternetOptions>Security or have a look at a Wiki (http://www.wikihow.com/Restrict-Web-Browsing-Using-Internet-Explorer) and for Firefox there are a couple of approaches (http://www.techzonez.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17651). Both are fairly easy to overcome by the knowledgeable.
