compaq computer

I've been working on pc's for a little while.My ? is this. Every compaq
I've worked on has had 2 POST beeps on boot for everythings OK.I know 1
beep on most PC's means this.So far i've been right about this,but
are their compaqs that beep 1 time like normal for all is ok.
and why 2 beeps not 1 on the POST. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
