Hi all

If I want to delete all partitions and create two new ones on a 160Gb drive I have for a laptop and install XP and Vista (Dual booting), whats the best way to set the hard drive up.

Is FDISK or SFDISK any good anymore or is it best using the O/S when installing it deal with the partitions I require.

Thanks to all that reply

Unless you want to wipe/zero the drive then just delete them all during WinXP's setup and create one partition for it of an appropriate size leaving the rest unallocated. Then let Vista create a partition for itself when you later boot to its installation DVD.

Ok thanks

So I will just use Windows Xp setup to do it, makes life easier I suppose!

I dont think there is a need for FDISK any more is there?????
