PC won't load OS past XP Logo screen.

The monitor goes blank and evidently loses the PCs signal just after XP Logo screen completes. (The one with the XP logo and load progress bar).

Anybody?

What are your system specs? RAM? Did you install any programs/hardware before this happens?

If there is a flashing cursor (and even probably if there isnt one) and you have an installation CD then I would go for a repair installation. http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Silly me, I forgot about this option.

After your BIOS post boots, press F8 immediately. You should get a list of ways to boot Windows, (eg. Start Windows Normally, Safe Mode, etc). Choose "Last Known Configuration" and see if that works.
