renaming files problem

I am ripping my DVD collection to my hard drive and I have started to encounter am odd bug. I am currently ripping TV shows with multiple episodes per disc. After the disc is ripped, I am going into Windows Explorer and renaming the files to something more descriptive. Now I am having problems renaming the second file per disc. The only way I can resolve this is by playing the video and closing it.

Any idea why this is happening?

I am using Nero Recode with AnyDVD.
