i already installed 2 os in my pc,vista and xp pro,the xp pro at partition c and the vista at partition d at different harddisk,suddenly i wrongly formatted a partition and the partition is the vista partition d,so i reinstalled the vista,but when booting,there will be appear vista boot menu and there is the choice;

earllier windows version
vista ultimate
vista ultimate

there is 2 choice for vista os,one of them,the "number 3 choice" cannot boot, i think that is the boot from the vista that i accidently format.How can i remove the third choice?because i don't want it looks so many os in my pc?
please.
thanks.

There are ways of editing (http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=how+to+edit+the+bcd&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) the BCD manually but I would recommend using VistaBootPro (http://www.vistabootpro.org/) which can be run from either OS I believe.

How are you trying to access it? Another approach is via the Registry (http://any-tips.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-to-change-and-edit-windows-vista.html).

Or try VistaBootPro as suggested earlier.
