I hope this is the right place to put this, if not I'm sorry =/. I just got a new computer and I paid to have it put together + the drivers installed, and I installed windows myself. It's been working fine, but the internet isn't working for some reason. On my old computer in the same place, I used a (I dont know much about this) Wall-plugged ethernet bridge (Netgear XE102 if that helps), which plugs into the wall for power and then goes into my computer with an ethernet cable and there is another downstairs that connects to my router downstairs. This was working fine on my old computer but does not on the new one, I have the box it came in and I installed the software but I dont think my computer is reading it for some reason and I don't know why. After this I tried a direct connection with a long ethernet cord from the wall connection in the room beside where my computer is, this also did not work on my new computer and I don't know if there is any configuring or setting up you have to do to make it work the same way it did on the old one... I know that the connection from both of these sources work because one is used on the computer in the other room and the other works when I plug the old comp back in and try (which is how I'm posting now.) If anyone can understand that and suggest anything helpful I'd be thankful. :)
