My current system, AMD Athlon 1050 mhz, 512k ram, 64 mb video card, 350 watt power supply, XP Pro SP2 will not boot up. I can get to the windows start screen but it just goes from there to a blank screen. Restart in safe mode same thing. I installed the 60 gig HD in one of those cases used for an external drive and all of my data is still there. I BELIEVE that the HD is ok. I have moved the jumper on the cmos for about a minute and then put it back to its original location (this move used to work with my old mobo, btw, I replaced the mobo 2 years ago and had a hard time finding one that would work with this processor). Everything in this system except for the mobo is approx. 7 years old. I don't game, all I want is a reliable machine that can do a little photo editing. Suggestions for hardware as well as suppliers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Steve B

Yeah, yeah...I built the machine the same year that apple came out with the Imac that was the hemisphere with the are supporting the screen. The video card raised some eyebrows, Duuuude!
