Both are legit tools, but should be used with great care. The reason why we ask for HJT logs in the removals here is so the reader can choose the more appropriate tool. Classicsoftware, David Eaton or Budfred would be able to explain what they are looking for before running these.
Better yet, join a BootCamp class and learn.

The Smitfraud Fix does not seem to get the newer deeper versions. I certainly use it. I would recommend you post a Hiajckthis log and let an expert look at your system. Malware tends to travel in packs....
