Hi all,
I am thinking of building a new computer. My old computer
is still ok but I got the bug to build.I was looking around
and when it came to the video I found that there is x press
2.0 and 1.1.So my question is do you have to have a motherboard
that supports 2.0 or is it backward compatible?I am just in
the searching process so I really don't need any suggestions
for cards.I need to get some more money before it really happens.
Thanks olderthandirt

yes, not-so-nerdy is right,
however,
a 1.1 motherboard can use a 2.0 card, but NOT at full speed (it will throttle down)

so 1.1 motherboard ->2.0 card will work
ans 2.0 motherboard->1.1 card will work

btw: not so nerdy, have you seen http://auto.xprize.org/

Thanks to you both ,I just can't seem to keep up with the speed of
technology these days. Just can,t seem to find enough time to
read up on things. One thing for sure I always seem to find a
answer here.
