Deleteing spell in Morrowind-split

hi. i'm new but like many folks i need help with morrowind. it runs fine but i recently had a problem with the spells. if i go to pick a spell to activate it,a screen will pop up and ask me if i want to delete the spell, but i can't get it
to go away and access the spells, is there a trick to canceling that pop up
screen ? it's a pain in the neck ! thanks for any support you can give me

wow i figured it out, you can't have anything else assigned for the right shift key (i did) ! it still jams (i guess theres a bug) but if i keep tapping on the shift key it will work.
