Installed 56X CD Rom had its own disk for drivers. Now in post I get Rem CD Rom drivers, it is also in config.sys and autuexec sys. All seems to work even CD Burner, do I need to remove the Rem or leave it there? Makes start up longer. Will this cause me problems down the road? Rem maybe stopped conflict from CD Burner or older CD Rom drives?

REM is just an old DOS command that means " remark ", it tells your OS to ignore this line-similar to putting a ; in front of the line.
Rename your Auotexec and Config files to Autoexec.old; Config.old-windows no longer needs these files.
When you install a CD peripheral-be it player or burner-windows recognizes it and loads a set of built in generic drivers; ther is no need for a driver install. The only thing that makes a CD burner different to windows is the CD burning software, otherwise it's just a standard cd player as far as Windows is concerned.
