sir, good day...i already repair my pc monitor from running vertical lines and sometimes auto/off..now its ok but as the days go on it somtetimes it turns to black and white screen,...is there any idea about it...
what kind of monitor is it? I am not sure about flat screens, but most CRT monitors (the big kind that take up space) has built in options to fix the color scheme. I think it's the same with flat screens to.

On my Samsung SyncMaster 957p color monitor I can reduce to zero the intensity of the individual RGB colors.
But that still didn't succeed in making the display totally monochrome. :(
SATURATION seems to be the key word.
A color can go all the way from gray [zero saturation] to full intensity [maximum saturation].

Check the connector for bent pins. Also, it's possible that this is a driver issue (I've had the same thing happen before) but that doesn't explain why it is happening intermittently

make sure the connector is TIGHT on both ends. (this could cause the R color to be "lost")
And, make sure the color settings are "accurate"
Check your DISPLAY controls [for the card] to make sure that it is also set to output color.
Check the cable to by switching it with another one, or hooking up a different monitor to see if the problem exists with the different monitor
