Hi,
I could sure use some help here. I want to create a home domain cause Im taking a network admin course. I installed the trial version of server2003 and set the server as a domain controller and installed dns at the same time. I have two pc's that I want to join the domain but Its giving me an error stating it can't find the DC. I am able to ping both pc's and the server.
router- 10.0.0.1
server2003- 10.0.0.2
pc1- 10.0.0.3
pc2- 10.0.0.4
The thing is, is Im not connected to the internet with this network. So my question is, can I still set up a practice domain without internet. Doesn't Dns need the internet for the root domain servers. If not any suggestions on how I could do this.
