My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. ZoneAlarm Pro, which used to work fine for me, has now started doing something unusual. Every time Windows starts, I get the ZoneAlarm popup that says it has detected a new private network, and asks me if I want it set up as internet or trusted. I choose trusted and name it, and it works fine until the next time I start my computer. I'm not sure, but it may be related to another problem, which I think might involve ZoneAlarm. A few weeks ago, ZoneAlarm found a new private network. I put it in trusted and named it, because its IP address was that of my router. A few days after that, I put ZoneAlarm into the "stop all internet activity" mode. When I returned to my computer a while later, Windows detected my network as an "unknown network" and said I may have limited or no internet access. I tried to access a page on IE7 and it got stuck on loading, so I cancelled the attempt to access the website. I tried "diagnose and repair connection issues." It came up with 3 solutions, and I tried the "shut off your router and wait a while" approach. When I turned it back on, it had the same problem. Then I tried something like "request new settings from internet provider" (I don't remember it exactly.) That solved the problem, but shortly after that, I started having this problem. Can anyone tell me what I should do? And this may not be related, but ZoneAlarm is the last thing to load when I start Windows. It loads about a minute after everything else, and has always done this. I'm worried that this could be a security risk, since my computer connects automatically. Any help with these problems?
