I swear I've checked the archived posts for this one with no luck.
On a computer case with various connections (usb, audio out, midi/joystick etc.)on the FRONT of the case, how are these connections made with the motherboard/slot cards? Are they special motherboards? Jumpers? Can any motherboard be adapted to a case with front connections? Sure would be nice to have those usb's out front 'n handy! Thanks Y'all.

Many motherboards have USB headers. The front panel connections can be bought as a unit and should come with the necessary cables to connect with those headers. Some boards that don't come with headers can have the cables routed through the inside of the case and passed through an openning in the back panel and connected to the proper connection there...not quite as neat or elegant as a board with hearders but it gets the job done.
