This problem is impossible to fix. Tried to get help from ISP but because it shows that we are connected, they say its the router. I have two wired computers (1) and (2). 1 is the main computer and is up and running. I have a Dlink DI-524 wireless router. My network does not recognize the second computer. Computer 2 shows a LAN connection. When I run the "cmd" command and then IPCONFIG...it shows an IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway correctly. when i ping IP, sent and received is same. However when I try to open the browser to access the url for the DLink network wizard, it fails. I've also tried going through the device manager and set up manually tcp/ip settings and although they are correct, i cannot get the wizard logon screen. Dlink support did get me up and online once, and then after i got off the phone with their tech support, i lost the connection after 2 minutes. Numerous calls back to them, with no help. Does anyone know what I can try? By the way, I am definitely no pro at this stuff, i just know the above steps because I had to do them so many times. Please help.

Things to try....

switch network cables with the working computer

change speed (http://raxso.wordpress.com/how-to-change-your-nic-to-half-duplex-or-full-duplex/) to whatever your router supports.( If set to auto change it to 10 full duplex or 100 full duplex )

reset router to defaults and try setup again.

connect computer to internet without router to verify that network card is working correctly. (don't forget to have a firewall installed !!)

If all else fails return the router to the story and buy one that works :D

Good luck :)
