hi,
my mobos manual (AZ11E) has a multiplier frequency that spans from 5 to 12.5 and an FSB of 100. The 12.5 number is the highest number and gives a 100 by 12.5 maximum speed) however it is actually written as >=12.5 that to my very small mathematical knowledge mean equal to or greater. My question is: can I really put a 1500MhZ cpu and run it at 1500 thanks to that > sign I have near the 12.5 digit? many mobo manuals have that > sign. What is it for?
thanks

This is straight from the horses mouth, the FIC FAQ page, in answer to a question just like yours.

Up to 1.3Ghz AMD Athlon with FSB of 200Mhz. On 1.4Ghz 200Mhz FSB CPUs, AMD has blocked users from overclocking and this prevents some of FIC's current products such as AD11, AZ31, AZ11EA, AZ11E, AZ11 from support it. However, FIC boards including AD11 and AZ11EA DO support 1.4GHz AMD Athlons at 266Mhz.
Note: AMD Athlon bus speeds for Double Data Rate(DDR) memory transfers run at 100/133MHz, for an effective 200/266MHz transfer rate.

Is it time to upgrade due to old XP slowing everything down??
