1: when i try to install a new wireless lan card (card bus 54Mbps) (gigabyte) after i go through the installation of drivers and reach the copying drivers of the hardware the whole computer Jams (stock) nothing moves so i have to restart the pc.

2: if i try to go through the safe mode after files are being loaded to enter the safe mode a bluse screen shows and the pc reboots.

3:i thought maybe windows reinstallation may solve the prob but the cd reader is broken....is ther any way to boot from the flash run a repairin installation (i have recovery console installed).

OS:
xp proffessional SP2
Compaq Laptop (evo N1020v )

Take out the card and try a new one.

the thing is that i tried this card on another pc and it worked very well!!!

i do have a nother one but i dont want to open it until im sure it will work or i will exchange it for a usb wireless...or any other than card slot

and the card isnt the only proble (the safe mode issue)

i reinstalled windows and now i can enter safemode but the first problem is still on ....i installed the hardware in safe mode and everything was good so i restarted the pc but the pc didnt want to go through loading windows unless i remove this new hardware...

here is wat i think the problem is but i couldnt solve it....1: the pci cardbus installed drivers arent the correct drivers for this hardware which windows automatically installes it... the problem is that i couldnt know the actual product name for the device so i can look for its drivers on the web.

2:my second thought is that this card bus reader is broken (i havent used it for ages)

Find out what the card is and download drivers from the manufacturer's website. That should fix your problem.
