Iv connected my pc to my 43 inch TV/monitor (Samsung high defition compatable )

The problem is i was hoping this would mean my spread on the screen would increase, butt iv come to find out the pixels are 1280 x 720. Which are basically the same as ur average monitor. So in essense i dont gain anything by in terms of overall space.

Im wonderin if thres an adaptor that is available which would increase the pixel rate, being that the system is capable of it. Or maybe its a video card issue??

It a TV issue. Your graphics card will support much higher resolution, but the TV has to support it as well. Just because the TV is physically bigger doesn't mean the resolution is any better. ;)

Right. unfortunately ive come to find that out.

So what should i buy to increase my pixel rate (some sort of receiver add on, adaptor video card??)

Im aimin for 2560 X1600 resulution.

Playin on line poker, with the present circumstances i cant get more than 4 screens on the display with no overlapping. (tables are 800X600)

Can u provide a link to said device please

There is no way that I know of. Your TV has a certain resolution and that's it, you can't go any higher than that.

But I am not big into this kind of thing, so you may want to wait for one of the members that are. They may have a suggestion I am not aware of.

jlreich is right, your TV must be 1080i which usually has real bad resolution. the only way to get better resolution is to get a 1080p TV which will have a 1920 x 1080 resolution or get a 30" monitor (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=703&catid=17&subid=1121) which have a 2560 x 1600 like this dell (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-023-DE&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=1121) but they do cost a fair amount... What screen resolution you using currently? also what about dual monitor?

with a 30" monitor you must have 2 x DVI slots on your graphics card, so what graphics card you have?
