ok heres a funny question for you all, when i shut down my pc (start/shutdown) it shuts down ok, but before it does so it checks the floppy drive, why does this happen? is it the same for all systems.
Spec-win98se, 511sdram, athlon 1G

Either an antivirus program is set to check the floppy on shut down or Windows is checking for unsaved files to try and save before going bye-bye.

Also you can try clearing the documents on the start button...Start -> Settings -> Taskbar & Start Menu -> Start Menu Programs -> Documents tab-> Clear...
