My MAG800 has decided to give up the ghost and I am deeply saddened because it look(ed) great. My second monitor is a Dell LCD and it looks ok but is not up to FPS. I have been searching for the last 45 minutes looking for good gaming LCD's and I am not sure which is best. My new machine plays COD4 very well. I want to buy two nice monitors and give the Dell LCD to the youngins. Wide screen is appealing.
Anyone have some good sites or recommendations for a gaming LCD?

I'm no expert on LCD monitors, but I have heard good things about Acer. Look to that.

I'd be interested in this as well. I play COD4 on the DALLAS DOM servers.
I mainly play on my laptop but I'm looking to build a gaming rig here very soon and hadn't even considered the monitor :D

I'm still using a CRT monitor and while it's "good enough" I'm planning on shelling out the cash for a decent LCD monitor as soon as the idea of doing so becomes economically justifiable.
With LCD monitors you get a much sharper, brighter and more vibrant picture, no flickering and, most importantly, higher resolutions.

I've been asking around and the 24 inch 2ms acer at newegg is so far the winner.

I didn't even know Acer was still around.

Update for anyone in the market for an LCD.
I received the 24 Inch Acer I referenced above.
COD 4 looks amazing in wide screen 1920X1200 goodness. 2ms response seems to work as advertised. No dead pixels. I turned the brightness down and it will take some getting used to having that large of a screen so close. I don't think two 24 inchers will be reasonable on my desk so I will try using just one monitor for awhile.
Comparables:
My Panasonic Plasma is a sweet TV, the kids have a PS3 and the games and Blue Ray movies look stunning. I think the image on this LCD is very close to the same quality. The blacks are good and there is only a little issue with light bleeding around the periphery of the screen. You can see it when the screen is all one color, the edges of the LCD, has variations in the hue. It is slight but, this is not an issue with a plasma. I haven’t run a Blue Ray movie on it yet but with a 2ms response time ghosting should be minimal. Plasma has no ghosting issues.
The outside of the LCD is a nice modern black, it does not have USB ports that I could find, which is a bummer.
All in all a beautiful monitor. COD 4 looks stunning and game play is perfect.

I bought an Acer 22" 5ms widescreen (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094) lees than a couple of months ago and it took a couple weeks to get used to it. But I love it! I wanted a 24" but my budget didn't permit. The price difference from a 22" to 24" is pretty large. But I am not complaining.
The size was overwhelming when I first opened the box. Even moving up from a standard aspect 19", which is an Acer as well, it was still huge. It may only be 3" more, but it just dwarfs my oldest daughters 19" widescreen (Hanns-G) sitting across the room.
And yes COD4 looks beautiful on 1680x1050. No ghosting, colors look great, no bleeding that I have noticed, and very bright. And enough screen space to have multiple windows open.
This is my second Acer I have bought for myself and have been very happy with both of them. I have picked out a few other Acer's for customers and friends and they have also been very happy with them.
