ok so im not too good with computers and just had a couple questions

whats a good video card around the 200-300 dollars range?

whats the advantage of getting 2x video cards? i was told by a friend to get 2x 8800's?

Also does anybody have any idea if any new video cards will be coming out soon? i plan on buying a new one in a month or 2

If you want to stay inside the 200-300 dollar range, you want the 8800 gt.
You can do two video cards in an SLI setup. You get about 80% performance gain over having just one. They have to be identical video cards.

It's hard to say for sure what is next and when it is coming, but I'd say the 8800 gt is a safe investment. It's relatively new and the nvidia 9 series is basically just repackaging the 8 series so it won't be outdated for a good long while.

The best price I found on the 8800 gt is right here. (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206166489&SearchEngine=PriceGrabber&SearchTerm=206166489&Type=PE&Category=Comp&dcaid=15890)
