IRQs!...DMI!....What else?!

Hi everyone

Merry Xmass to all of ya, and a happy new year.

Now, I do understand that we have PCIs and AGP slots, and that there's I/O, but what I can't understand or relate well are the IRQs and the DMI and how do they get distributed to different hardware peripherals.Second question, is there a primary and secondary PCI slots?.
