Print Server

is there any software that allows me to use a computer as a print server, or print manager.

I want to let all my computers print off of one USB printer

You do not need to install anything, just right click the printer on the PC and set up Sharing for the printer.
If you then have file and print sharing enabled, the other PCs can print by adding a network printer from the PC with the printer connected to it.

The only downside is that the computer connected to the printer must also be on...

With multiple printers you might want to consider an actual Print Server that would allow you to connect the printer directly or wirelessly to the router (I'm assuming that you're using one of course). That way, only the printer would need to remain on...and I think all have a sleep mode today...
