I am a little puzzled here.... I setup a wireless netowrk in my house today. I used Netgear wireless router and my desktop upstaire works fine. I put in a desktop for the kids in the basement and it worked fine.... for aout 10 min. Then nothing. The netgear icon says it is connected to the internet but has on 39% signal strength and will not load a webpage. My Acer laptop with WIFI sitting ontop of the desktop with a bad signal has "excellent" connection at 99% from the same router. I just bought the wireless card for basement and got matching netgear product.
Essentially what i have is
1 Netgear wireles router
1 desktop with linksys reciever works fine ( very close to router)
1 Acer laptop WiFi works fine antwhere in house (even sitting directly on case of desktop in basement)
1 Desktop in basement with netgear reciever connected to network with no signal strength
What can I do?
