View Full Version : Vista registry corrupt at any bootup

hello everybody,these days I am having problem with my vista first it start to show black screen with nothing at all ,although I can hear the hard drive and see the fan and every thing is working ,even the boot beep can hear it,
but after shutting down and restarting many times it start to display the screen and instead of loading windows sucessfully it displays that config folder is corrupt when fix it using vista repair disk and restart keep showing that config folder is corrupt
have not install any new hardware, some softwrae well but it was working perfectly the day after.
any possible cause or solution will be appreciated

It sounds like your hard drive might be bad. Try looking at the manufacturer of the hard drive, go to the company website and downloading the diagnostic utility boot CD or floppy. Run that and it will tell you if the hard drive has any problems.

hello Erik sorry fro the delay for being so busy
I finished checking the SATA harddisk but cant find errors
I am still suspecting the harddisk although the diagnostic result is clean, anyway is there any chance to be the RAM "have checked with Vista RAM check utility and show it OK" or any other posibility quiet sure that I am having a hardware issue because re-installed Vista and still not stable.
would be greatfull too get any advice from you all

You can always use Memtest, which is a bootable CD, to test the memory if you don't trust the Windows tool.

What exactly have you tried for the "repair"? Do you get any errors or warnings when the process finishes?
