Can't get ethernet to work.

After disabling and enabling the intel wireless program, it said that the proper drivers weren't installed. When I went to device manager, the bluetooth, gigabit network and 1394 net adapter's drivers were installed however not the wifi. There is one device which is called Network Controller which isn't install. Because this is a dell notebook, I went to dell.ca and downloaded all the network drivers but none of them worked. What do I do now?

Download, install, and run Unknown Device Identifier (http://www.zhangduo.com/udi.html), and use the result to identify precisely the "Unknown Device" [it must be unknown and have a yellow question mark against it if there is no driver installed for it].
Then use the program's search facility to find a suitable driver.
