Ok, as someone of you may already know from other posts about some hardware I was getting, well I am build my computer now. I have a bunch of questions to so bear with me.
First off:
1. I have the Antec 900 case, and I have the Abit IP35pro motherboard, and the Intel Quad Q6600. Now in my thermaltake power supply which is modular there is 2 cables that are already connected which are the 24 pin and the 8pin 12volt for the cpu. I connected all the fans to the molex connectors by the way. when I do a test run with only the 24 pin it turns on but then after it turns off after about 30 seconds. When I plug in the CPU 12 volt the fans turn off an on instantly.
Anyone know the problem?
I got everything plugged in basically but I can't get into the BIOS. I am not sure what happens after posts, will the post stop the fans from running?
Thank you for reading my little crisis and if you have anyone troubleshooting please post about it.

CPU fan needs to be plugged into the CPU fan header on the motherboard...unless you're using an RPM adapter cable.

There's a great sticky here that outlines this step by step for you, but whyzman makes an important point - is your cpu heatsink/fan plugged into the header on the motherboard? That may very well be your issue.

the header is the one that says "CPU fan" right. If so I have it plugged in.

I don't get it, after I take out the 8pin connector, where it says "ATX12V", it starts up for like 30 seconds then stops which i think is a test run.

huh! you took out the 8pin MOBO power supply?
why do that..
just leave it in ;)

If I don't take it out, then it won't boot, it justs starts then stops. If I leave it out it boots for about 30 seconds then stops.

Remove all RAM apart from one stick, remove all PCI cards (except your VGA), unplug all SATA wires and then see if it boots..
and yes make sure both 8pin and 24pin are plugged in

Ok you guys, I think I got it on my motherboard there's a code that says 8.3- which means ATX Power ready, then goes to 8.7-which means check CPU voltage then after that it goes 9.9 which means complete power off sequence.
So what might be the problem then, this process I did was with the 8pin ATX connector connected.

ok I will do what you said also.
thanks

can anyone help?
1.. The 4/8 pin connector is for the CPU power..
Without it the CPU will NOT power up..
The CPU and in Many bios setups the Case and or auxiliary fans need to be plugged into the Mother board
Until you get it setup and into the bios to turn OFF case fan / power supply fan monitors and then connect them to the Molex
A Barebones start up may be in order here as stated by George Hallam above
Even if it entails removing the mother board and placing it on a none conductive surface .. ( Could have been done before installing ) to confirm state of hardware before starting build
Mother board, cpu and heatsink/fan,video card, 1 stick of ram, keyboard
Just to see what if any errors appear on screen
You can short the two contacts on the M/B for the power/start button with a small screw driver or a wire
It may also require you to connect at least the case fan number #1
It's a pain to remove everything
But it will tell you if yoiu have a DOA part and or a short somewhere under the M/b

Ok, I tried taking out the RAM, and Graphics card, but it still does that. I am wondering if its the voltage for the CPU. Maybe it should be lower.

I am not really sure what your saying right here, are you saying switching these to the motherboard outlets the that say "AUXFAN01" or something before connecting it via molex

Guys, I figured it out, the other day while I was building it I pulled out a black little piece of plastic off a 2 pin spot and next to it said "CMOS01" or something like that so I moved to the first two and somehow erased the bad CMOS data.
Thank you all for helping me, the only thing now is to find a VGA cable because I can't find a dual-DVI or VGA anywhere.

...I pulled out a black little piece of plastic off a 2 pin spot...I suspect a little black piece of plastic with little metal contacts imbedded... Sounds like you pulled off a "jumper"

That black little piece of plastic is called a jumper. The CMOS01 jumper must be on pins 1&2 for normal operation. Your board also has an EZ CMOS01 switch on the rear panel, and that switch must be normal position or the PC will not boot.

Yeah, thanks, this whole time it was actually my mistake. But you learn from your mistakes right.
