Has anyone used Acronis Disk Director Suite 10? If so, I have a question. I am trying to add unallocated disk space, 130GB to be exact, to the C partition (primary) which is 13GB. I have downloaded Acronis to assist me and I have followed the instructions to the letter to add to the partition. But when I perform the reboot and Acronis kicks in to add the GB this error message appears - "Error: unable to write disk 1 sector 0" - and the operation fails. I am then forced to use Norton GoBack to restore the drive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check your BIOS...some have the option to protect the MBR (aka: Sector 0).

I think Norton's GoBack may actaully be the source of the problem - and it is not usually easy to deactivate.

BiNG (in my sig) or GParted may well be able to do what you want because they are not activated from within Windows but Norton's products can be very pervasive.
