Ok, its not really a problem at but, my question is, can you connect your fans to the motherboard some how so the BIOS can control when the fans need to go faster or slower because right now I just have all of my fans on molex to the psu and its kind of loud. An example of what I am talking about is when the comp goes to sleep or what ever can the computer "tone down the fans" instead of me doing it.
Thanks,

Acutally guys I figured it out, it's acutally the graphics card. Will it always be like this, or just during the BIOS.
Thanks

p.s what I mean is will the 8800GT fan always run at full speed or just in the BIOS and bootup?

does this happen to everyone? or can you change when it should run at full speed.

The fan on the 8800 GT shouldn't be that loud. I find that odd to begin with. I'd phone the manufacturer of the card and let them know about it. Maybe they'll give you a replacement. I've never had any such problem... my 9800 gtx is pretty much whisper quiet.
In the meantime, the card's drivers should have a utility you can use to control the fanspeed. Nvidia has tons of graphics card utilities. Go to nvidia.com and have a look.

Well, I have not installed Windows XP yet, could that be the culprit. Neither have I installed the driver disk yet either.
