I installed vista and my temps went up a lot. 55C when playing cs1.6... I am def buying a new heatsink and fan asap. I want a good one for quad core q6600... However i do NOT want to take out the motherboard to install it. Can someone show me one that has a nice pushpin design like the stock fan?

The Q6600 always runs hot. Mine idles at 40c-42c, goes up to 55c under load. It's perfectly safe, the Q6600 is rated up to 100c. You're still operating within a very safe range. I've had no trouble at all. Some folks get theirs to run cooler, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how. I have a case fan blowing on it, but I also have a fan on my chipset northbridge, so it might get a little warm over there.
If you REALLY want after market cooling, I have an arctic cooling fan that snaps into the motherboard the same as the stock fan. It doesn't fit my case because my power supply is too large. PM me, maybe I can resell it to you. I have no use for it.
