Hey all.

So, I've noticed after some testing that when I enable "SLI Ready Memory" on my EVGA 780i board using my corsair dominator SLI Ready DDR2 800, the system becomes unstable. The system crashes, then the reboot hangs on the BIOS screen and CMOS resets.

Is there something else I have to do to ensure system stability?

Try manually tweaking the memory timings/voltages/etc...SLI ready memory doesn't guarantee stability, it just says that the memory should be able to handle the preset timings.

as it turns out, SLI memory is only "approved" for up to two modules. I have four modules, so SLI memory is not stable.

Even better...it looks like another way to try to eek out a few more bucks, on the part of the Manufacturers. In all the reading I've done on it, I've never come across the limit of two...but the manual tweaking was a very common theme.

on that note, it DID work properly when I only had two modules installed.
