Again I was behind the times. I got whift of super conductor ceramics!!! You can imagine how excited I got when I heard about its future possibly in computer parts as well as ceramic engines bereft of a radiator. Has anyone heard any news on ceramic processors or super conductor ceramic coating ? So far I've heard it has been unsuccessful( maybe unstable due to the free flow of electrons?). Anyone have anymore info on it and why its not working and etc? And perhaps what you think of the idea(as a side note perhaps?) Wow!!!! I still can't believe it.

Hello Fenrir,
No I have not heard anything on this. Sounds veryinteresting though. I am familiar with ceramic components in engines and have tried to follow that technology for some time.
Have you searched Google (http://www.google.com) yet?
Keep us posted, but perhaps this should be in "PC World" forum http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

What I heard was the ceramics need to hit a transition point in order to become a super conductor, but they are trying to bring the temperature up to room temperature. It's not the usual ceramics of course, but I don't know the exact mixture. So far they've coated it on processors, but I think the power was too much and made the system unstable. I'm not completely sure..

HERE'S (http://www.howstuffworks.com/news-item164.htm) some fuel for the fire.
Flash Ram "HDDs" (when affordable) out to be downright interesting also with no mechanical parts to crash!
