Anyone have experience installing Sims 2 Holiday Edition on Vista?

Computer stats:

Inspiron 1520 Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 (1.66GHz/667Mhz FSB/2MB cache)
8X DVD +/- RW w/dbl layer write capability
Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate 32
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA+ Laptop Screen with TrueLife
160 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
9 Cell Primary Battery
Microsoft Works 8.5 with MS Office Trial Version Software
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
Bluetooth Wireless Card 355
MEDIADIRECT 3.3 Software
3945 802.11a/g Wireless Mini Card
2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 677MHz (2 DIMMs)
Roxio Creator LE

Symptoms: We put Disk 1 in and it doesn't autorun. Open the drive and double-click autorun and nothing happens.

Somewhat unfamiliar with Vista, so looking for any help!
Thanks,
Penny:confused:

In control panel
Open the autorun icon and check your settings

By default just inserting the disk should cause the autorun to find and run any autorun feature on the disk

If it deosn't then you should be able to just double click the drive in the windows explorer and that will or should also cause autorun to find and run your autorun file on the disk or at least it should ask you what you want to do

Why don't you just go to My Computer, right click your CD/DVD drive and hit open then run setup?
