Q: why do you want to know?
Water cooling is nothing spectacular, and is more expensive.
then again, the best cooling i have seen is the XPS-H2C model from DELL
(hybrid water cooling+ a radiator to cool the liquid [like a car coolant])

Ok thanks guys
i posted this on another fourm (thats sucks tbh)
but have a shot ;)
Hello,
My name is George im 16 and i live in Cyprus, i know quite a fair amount about PC hardware upgrading and modding so once this thread is over i will be more than willing to help other people in the forum. So as you can see i am new to this forum and very impressed with some of the stuff that is posted here especially about water cooling. I have looked through many threads and picked up lots of useful ideas already.
well now down to business,
I have just ordered the Zalman Reserator 1 V2 water cooling kit (i have heard it has a weak pump but that can be sorted at a later stage when i start cooling more things) to be perfectly honest i bought it mainly because it looked really nice piece of kit to have and the extra cooling is just a bonus really :p.
I will at first be just using it solely to cool my CPU and at a later date will cool the rest of my system,
-Is there any tips that i should do when installing?
-Any must does that need to be done before and after i install the water cooling?
-I never turn my PC off so is the cooling ok running 24/7?
-Do i have to change the coolant often? (i bought this one as extra)
Another thing that puzzled me with this kit is the tube size, it comes with 12 x 8mm which i am thinking that the inside is 8mm and outside is 12mm, but when i look around for extra tubing and barbs they are in inches can someone enlighten me on this
PVC Tube
If the standard PVC tube is found to be short or you need to use the tube on another system, additional tubes can be purchased separately (12 x 8 mm).
Also im going to get a 9800GX2 and i am going to get a block for that but what is with them sayings "fittings not included" so what would i need for that?
My second question is i have the EVGA 780i MOBO, i do like it but now that i am getting water cooling it seems a waste not to cool the NB and SB. Has anyone done this? And what parts would i need to cool all the respected parts?
Thanks for the help in advance
All my system specs are in my sig

From alot of the results i heard alot of bad about corrosion how long will it take :(
also i new even before i bought the Reserator i would be getting a better pump so that is ok but now i think i will have to get new CPU block, radiator and tubing :p
i know i might as well have bought an internal kit but i do like the look of the Zalman Reserator 1 V2
To avoid corrosion get all one metal
copper radiator,cpu block,gpu
Or if your unit is mostly aluminum then get all alum.
Or look for some of the newer blocks that are coated with other metal
Copper and aluminum don't mix..
6 months is about the norm for it to start showing up in lines and or in low spots in the blocks
The unit I put together a year and ? months ago is still using the same fluid
Just a little added over time
Has not been drained or replaced in over a year..
Purging the air is the first major thing to do
A few air bubbles in the wrong place and you have a major problem..
What I did ( first and only w/c build ) was to submerge the blocks in the fluid in a 1 gallon bucket flip, tip, swirl, you name it. anything to get the air out.
Then with the hoses and blocks attached and full.
I plugged the hoses with stoppers
Removed them and let them hang over night to dry off.. ( over the same bucket.)
Then attached the back plane panel, router the hoses from the inside out and mounted the blocks
This allowed me to keep all the hoses above the blocks and prevent air from getting in
Hook the hoses to the radiator and fill.
