usb drive/ CD drive help

Mods please move if in wrong area

i work at a company where they block access to USB ports and the CD drive. i can plug my flash drive in but nothing shows up on the screen nor in my computer, same with the CD drive, i can put a CD in but when i go in my computer i see only 1 empty CD drive. I cant go to run therefor i cant edit the registry to enable the usb drive.

any ideas?
