Startup Error for OLD PC Game

Hi all,

I am attempting to install The Wheel of Time (1999) on my Boot Camp partition of a MacBook Pro (running XP Home). While it worked on my old Toshiba laptop, it fails miserably on any video setting on this one. I get this message:

General Protection fault!
History: UWindowsViewport::Exec <-UGameEngine::Init <-InitEngine

I am running with 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, and NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT (256MB).

Any advice?

You can try running DosBox (http://www.dosbox.com/) under XP...games from that era tend to have all sorts of problems on modern hardware without some sort of emulation going on
