PSU Problems

Hi, my computer recently had its psu burn out, it smelled like it was burning. I bought another one, it worked for about an hour until I shut the computer down, now the new psu is not working. If anyone can please help, i would appriciate it. I think it might be something on the motherboard shorting it out, but i am uncertain,

While waiting for the experts to reply, I will point out a failing PSU can damage any hardware component in the PC.
