Hello all,

My computer uses Windows XP Home.
A pop up came up advising me to upgrade to IE ver.7. This I did and IE disappeared.
I have tried in every way to reinstall IE but I have been unsuccessfull.

I now use Opera.
Could anyone assist me in resolving this problem and be able to reinstall IE ver.6 or Ver.7.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Kindest regards,

Karlev

you can go here and order a CD.

Or download Autopatcher (http://www.autopatcher.com/).

Does anything happen if you enter iexplore into the run box and does any version of it appear in Add/Remove Programs?

It's possible to try an "old" version (http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=msie) install but I would try and remove any vestiges of the failed install of IE7 first or retry a manual install (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx) from the MS site.

Hello,

Thanks for the early replies.

I have already tried the CD and 'no-go'.

I will try the other suggestions and see what happens.

Kindest regards,
